Another problem related to NATO besides the growing Islamist orientation of Turkey is the potential of a European security treaty drafted by the Kremlin which itself is moving closer to the Turkish regime. The Mosocw created treaty would eventually neutralize NATO by its requirement “that any actions” they take o the territoy of another treaty signaiory don’t significantly affect the security of a third threaty signatory (Wall Street Journal Nov 30 2009)
This concept comes dircctly from proposals made by former Soviet Foreign minister Schevardnadze 19 Nov 1991 to build a common European security and military space. With a KGB run Russia at the center this program would eviscerate NATO and undermine it from within as will Turkey’s contimued presence in NATO unless Erdogen’s regime goes out of power.
