Today Frank raps with Gordon Chang on the Dalai Lama fall out, David Yerushalmi on Rashad Hussain and the OIC, and Aaron Harison on the many Gitmo detainee advocates now employed by Eric Holder’s Justice Department.
I want to share some thoughts with you about a woman who I admire greatly, she’s been a guest here at Secure Freedom Radio in the past, she is a member of Congress from the State of North Carolina, she is a member of the House Intelligence Committee, she’s under assault at the moment by the Muslim Brothers in America this took the form of an article that was written in the Charlotte News-Observer filed on the 25 of February, and here you have Sue Myrick who has brought to the Congress the kind of leadership that is so desperately needed. Specifically, she has helped to create and helps to run an Anti-Terror Caucus in the House of Representatives, as a vehicle for educating her colleagues about the threats of terrorism and the forces that animate it, specifically Sharia (the form of authoritative Islam that requires its adherents to engage in jihad, the violent kind wherever practicable).
What’s troubling the Islamists is that Sue Myrick has in this present session of Congress, become a member of the Committee that is supposed to, for the House, monitor closely the intelligence community, what it knows and what it’s doing with what it knows. Here in this article titled, “Myrick has US Muslims Wary,” there is an indication as a result of top secret briefings she has received as a member of the Intelligence Committee; Sue Myrick of North Carolina has “unveiled truths about home-grown terrorism she had only suspected [prior to joining the committee].” She’s not in a position to discuss that information, because it is evidently drawn from classified sources, but the point is I think what Sue Myrick has established is that the kinds of concerns she had before she joined this Committee, before she had access to this kind of classified information about the threat, has only been reinforced by what she’s learned since joining the Committee.
She now has been working hard on a project she calls Wake up America. I would really encourage you to take a look at Sue Myrick’s website, under Wake up America, which she envisions as a multi-pronged effort to fight Islamic radicalization in our country. According to this article, it has among the elements proposed: cutting off exchange programs and munitions sales with Saudi Arabia, passing legislation that would make calls for death to American citizens a form of treason, and investigating the selection of Arabic translators working for the Pentagon and FBI. I hope it will be in addition to the translators, the chaplains working for the Defense Department –for that matter, the prisons as well because there too is reason for real concern. The article goes on to say, “in recent months Myrick has taken on the Muslim law known as Sharia, suggesting that Universities are being influenced by the austere brand of Islam common to Saudi Arabia known as Wahhabism, and warned that Muslims have infiltrated political and military circles.”
Now this has sent the Muslim Brotherhood front organizations into paroxysms of denunciations. They are accusing her of “McCarthyism” in the words of some of them, the Council on American-Islamic Relations being prominent in this group. Its national Chairman, a State Legislator in North Carolina by the name of Larry Shaw says, “It looks like she’s taking on a tinge of McCarthyism, she’s becoming a hate-monger.”
Now ladies and gentlemen, I know Sue Myrick (to paraphrase a famous statement by Lloyd Bentsen), she’s a friend of mine, and Sue Myrick is no hate monger—What Sue Myrick is a courageous member of Congress, one of the few who has actually troubled herself to go to school on the threat that we talk about here a lot, and yes it is called Sharia. It is brought to us by people in the Muslim Brotherhood who are denouncing her now as a hate-monger, for precisely the reason that as we’ve talked about here a lot, that they are trying to suppress all of us from talking about Sharia, about what it entails, the kind of repression, the kind of submission it demands of all of us. And Sue Myrick, Thank God, is holding her ground—even in the face of criticism from some in her constituency and the local newspaper, she is under no illusion that nothing less than the fate of our country is on the line.
And so I would urge you to get in touch with Sue Myrick’s office, I just want to commend her to you as a real leader, as the kind of national figure we need more of. And far from allowing her to be silenced, she needs to know we’ve got her back because she’s standing up for all of us, both on the Intelligence Committee and in the House more generally, in the great struggle of our time. And if she goes down, if they are successful in silencing Sue Myrick, if the Muslim Brothers are able to intimidate her, you can bet there will be fewer still who will be able to stand up for us and we need them to do just that.
Those are my thoughts. Let me know yours. Post here or the Frank Gaffney facebook or twitter accounts.
